NYS Travel Requirements

Governor Andrew Cuomo issued an executive order on June 24th, 2020 in response to increased rates of COVID-19 transmission in order to protect New York’s successful containment of COVID-19.

If you are traveling to New York from a noncontiguous state, you must take a COVID-19 test at least 3-days prior to your visit. Upon arrival to the state, you must quarantine for at least 3 days before obtaining a secondary COVID-19 test on the 4th day. Both tests must have negative results for the quarantine period to end, described as being upon receipt of the second negative test result.

For those who were outside of New York for a period of less than 24hrs, a test is not required prior to your travels, nor is a quarantine period necessary once you enter the state; however, a COVID-19 test must be taken at least 4-days after your return.

Visitors not wishing to undergo COVID-19 testing are required to self-quarantine for a period of 14-days upon entering the state.

For more information on the travel, please visit the New York State website.
